With the final phase of Organization Management, you can expect the following changes:
- Finalized Organization Details page
- New "Settings" tab with functionality that allows us to fully configure the organization
- Finalized Customer Details page to resemble Org Details page
- "Users" and "Pricing" tabs that were split out from the legacy customer details page
- New "Settings" tab with functionality that allows us to fully configure the customer (and sync settings with the parent organization)
- New preview area for branding/white-labeling
- Removed legacy tab from Customer Details page due to breaking changes with the customer config
- All actions available in the legacy tab have been fully implemented (and more)
- General UI enhancements and bugfixes
- Fixed default workflows not being set properly in HopDrive portal
A new "Config Inheritance" system was implemented with this release. Config Inheritance means we can now have a default config for every org/customer. If you make changes to the settings of an org, this gets inherited to all of its customers. If you make changes to the settings of a customer, it will ONLY affect that specific customer. The hierarchy is Customer -> Organization -> Default. Overall, this allows us to better maintain settings for our hundreds of customers (and potentially thousands in the future) by allowing us to configure settings at the org-level and having a fallback default when the customer has no configuration.
