Driver Details

Admin 5 now has fully functioning driver details pages with all of the same features available in Admin 4, and more. Notably, the full driver recruitment workflow, now including viewing/editing onboarding materials, is supported in Admin 5.

We also made a number of enhancements to the recruitment pipeline UI, including:

• Fixed sorting in the driver pipeline region selection table
• Automatically pop out the withdrawn, terminated, and rejected columns if a match is found there from the user's search
• Allow editing of all fields in region pipeline configuration regardless of whether the funnel is open or closed

Secure VIN Verification

The driver app now features a completely overhauled VIN verification system that improves scanning accuracy, strengthens security, and provides a smoother driver experience.

Smarter Barcode Scanning

The scanner now detects all barcodes in the camera frame and intelligently selects the best match. A new target zone overlay guides drivers to aim at the right barcode, and the system prioritizes valid VINs found within the target zone. Support for additional barcode formats (Code-128, PDF-417, Data Matrix, and Code-93) means more vehicle VIN barcodes are recognized on the first try.

Security & Bypass Prevention

• VIN masking — Full VINs are no longer displayed in the app. Only the last 4 characters are shown to protect vehicle information.
• Full 17-character requirement — Manual VIN entry now requires the complete VIN, preventing partial-entry workarounds.
• Timed lockout on manual entry — Drivers must attempt scanning for 30 seconds before manual entry unlocks, encouraging the preferred scan method.
• Override code system — When a VIN truly won't scan, dispatchers can provide a move-specific override code. Even after override, drivers must still capture the full VIN manually.
• Capture method tracking — Every VIN entry is recorded as scan, manual, or manual-override, creating a full audit trail.

UX Improvements

• Countdown timer with a circular progress indicator shows drivers when manual entry will unlock
• Voice entry support with input sanitization so drivers can dictate VINs via the microphone button
• Warning note on the manual entry screen reminding drivers to verify the VIN matches the order before moving the vehicle
• Debounced input handling prevents duplicate scan triggers

Dealer Portal Map Features

• Real-time driver tracking with 10s polling and dead reckoning animation between updates
• 3-layer route polylines (glow, main, animated dash) for each active move
• Clickable pickup/delivery markers with location details and consumer info for concierge/valet
• Driver sidebar with GPS status, progress bar, ETA, vehicle photos, and a photo lightbox
• Ping tooltips and breadcrumb dots showing speed, heading, timestamps, and off-route deviation detection
• Geofence overlays with a toggle to show/hide
• Auto-satellite when zoomed to street level (19+)

Things to Know

• Lite customers only — the map toggle won't appear for other tiers
• Filters carry over between map/table/tile views
• The /drivers page remains table-only (no map)

Lanes v2

Lanes v2 is here! This is a major overhaul of the lanes system. It is now much more flexible and powerful.

Features

• Pickup/delivery locations can now get customized geofences
• Lanes can now be refreshed and updated in Admin 5
• The route lines that the distance and duration is based upon are stored on the lane itself.
• avoid_tolls, route_preference, avoid_highways, avoid_ferries are all configurable on the organization, customer, or contract levels.

Address Autocomplete

The location address autocomplete during move creation has been completely overhauled. It is now much more accurate and faster as well as costing us much less per call to the Google API.
